Stolen Moped, Foot Pursuit, Two Arrests in Mexico

A foot chase, and two arrests are made in Mexico after a report of a stolen moped.

According to Mexico Public Safety it happened yesterday (Monday) morning around 8:30 in the 1600 block of North Olive.

Officers say they learned a moped had been stolen from a shed during the overnight hours.

The investigation led police to a home in the 900 block of Muldrow, where 26 year old Kyle T. Vansickle, and 34 your old Lindsy N. Lortie were located.

According to officers Vansickle ran from the home and took them on a chase through yards for about two blocks before he was arrested.

Both were taken to the Audrain County Jail and the moped was recovered and returned to the owner.
