Columbia City Manager Mike Matthes Resigns

Columbia City Manager Mike Matthes will be resigning effective at the end of today (Wednesday).

He tendered his resignation in a one line email to the city council yesterday (Tuesday).

Per a severance agreement Matthes would be paid one hundred seventy nine thousand, six hundred fifty two dollars and sixty one cents.

That includes his annual base salary and remaining vacation hours multiplied by his hourly pay rate of $80.02.

Matthes served as Columbia city manager since May 1st, 2011, Deputy City Manager John Glascock will serve as acting city manager until the council can choose an interim.
