New Bloomfield Police Contract With Holt’s Summit Expiring Soon

Police coverage for New Bloomfield in the future is unknown at this time.

An agreement that is now in place between New Bloomfield and Holt’s Summit for police services is set to expire at the end of this (December) month.

Holts Summit took over policing New Bloomfield in June of this year after the city’s only officer was asked to resign because of violating media policy and the city decided not to replace him.

Holts Summit police officers have responded to 295 calls in New Bloomfield since the agreement.

According to Holts Summit City Administrator Matt Harline an agreement will be presented to the the Board of Alderman at the December 13th city council meeting.
