Update On Winter Storm

The latest weather forecast is predicting more snow than previously expected.

According to the National Weather Service out of St. Louis a rain sleet mix is expected to start this morning with some slick spots forming on the roads.

It will change to all rain by midday while temperatures reach the 35-36 degree mark with the rain and sleet quickly changing over to snow between 1 and 5.

Snow will overspread the listening area throughout the mid to late afternoon.

Snow will continue through out tonight (Friday).

More snow tomorrow morning with it breaking up in the afternoon, with the snow expected to exit tomorrow (Saturday) night.

At this time six to nine inches is likely through out the Mix Country 96 listening area by tomorrow (Saturday) afternoon.

An area from Jefferson City to Fulton may sue 8 to 11 inches due to heavier prolonged snow.
