Man With Multiple Prior DWI and Driving On Revoked Convictions Arrested In Moberly

A man with ten prior convictions for driving on a suspended and revoked license and 2 prior convictions for DWI is facing more charges after an arrest by Moberly Police last (Tuesday) night.

According to a Moberly Police Officer around 7:35 last (Tuesday) night a vehicle was seen driving recklessly at a high rate of speed, making unsafe passes, in the area of Franklin and Johnson Street.

The officer reports the vehicle ran off the road at point and nearly collided with an oncoming vehicle.

When the officer was able to make contact with the driver, signs of alcohol impairment were noticed, and a nearly empty bottle of McCormick’s Whiskey was found next to the drivers seat.

Shawn Malone was arrested and taken to the Randolph County Justice Center.
