Women’s Hearing In Death Case of Four Year Old Jefferson City Boy Postponed

The hearing for the woman accused of killing four year Darnell Gray is being postponed.

Quatavia Givens was scheduled to appear at the hearing by video call yesterday (Tuesday), and she refused to show up, so the judge is postponing it until September 10th.

The status hearing will set a date for Givens’ trial.

Darnell Gray was found dead on October 30th last year (2018), five days after Givens reported him missing.

Givens was charged with neglect or abuse resulting in death and was indicted in December.

According to investigators Givens told them, “I may have hit him wrong.”
