Residents of Brunswick Encouraged To Evacuate With Possibility Of Flooding

Residents of Brunswick are being encouraged to evacuate their homes with the possibility of historic flooding today (Wednesday).

The announcement was made by the Chariton County Emergency Management Director Eric McKenzie.

Although residents are not required to leave, the request has been sent out to all residents and businesses on Highway 24 in the Brunswick city limits.

Roads are expected to be closed, and the residents who do not leave will not be able to rely on emergency services according to McKenzie.
