Election Results

Results are in after voters across Mid-Missouri went to the polls yesterday (Tuesday) to decide on several tax increase proposals.

In Callaway County around 4,300 voters came out and 2 propositions on the ballot were approved involving sales taxes that will fund improvements to police facilities and increase police salaries.

Hallsville residents voted to sell the city’s sewer system.

Voters cast 133 ballots in favor of the sale and 63 voted against it.

At the Lake of the Ozarks area, voters decided against a proposed lodging tax increase for Camden, Miller and Morgan counties.

It failed in all 3 counties, the tax increase would have paid for a proposed soccer complex directed at increasing tourism during the lake area’s off season.
