Five People Tested In Audrain County For COVID-19

Five people have now been tested for COVID-19 in Audrain County with 1 negative test and four tests pending.

The numbers were updated at the weekly meeting held with health workers, elected officials and other leadership in Audrain County this (Wednesday) afternoon.

According to Audrain County Health Director Dr. Sandra Hewlett one of the people tested resides in Vandalia. Audrain County Health Department officials met with Amish community leaders today after receiving multiple phone calls over concerns with their schools not being closed.

After the meeting the Amish are now agreeing to close their schools at the end of this week.

According to the Audrain County Health Department test results for COVID-19 take about 3 to 7 days to come back.
