Fulton Public Schools Extending Current Closure Into May

The Fulton Public Schools will now be closed until May after extending their current closure during a special school board meeting over Zoom last night.

The decision was made in order to align with the federal social distancing order.

The district is slated to reopen May 4th unless federal, state or local government officials continue a stay-at-home order or a social distancing order.

The board also voted to go forward with a program to provide childcare for first responders.

Bush Elementary is being considered as an option for the childcare according to Superintendent Jacque Cowherd.
