City of Mexico is Delaying Phase Two of Reopening Plan

The City of Mexico is delaying the reopening of their facilities due to the rising number of COVID-19 cases throughout the community.

In a release yesterday the city says the phase 2 of the city’s facility reopen plan that was set to take place June 1st, will not proceed.

City manager Bruce Slagle says one of the gateway criteria that the city is required to meet before proceeding to a new phase is 14 days of improving health conditions throughout the community.

The city will remain in phase 1 of the reopen plan until further notice.

Slagle says he will provide a weekly update on the outlook for when the city projects moving into phase 2 of the reopen plan.
