Quincy Homicide
Early Saturday morning at around 1am, Quincy Police Officers were called to 1100 block of north 5th Street about a shooting. Arriving officers discovered a 12 year old boy outside of the residence suffering from a gunshot wound. The boy was taken to an area hospital by ambulance and was later pronounced dead. Anyone with any information is asked to contact Quincy Police or Crimestoppers.
 
Mexico Child Hit by Car

A 2 year old boy from Mexico now hospitalized after he was hit by his mothers car. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says that at around 2:30 Sunday, 31 year old Nicole Murphy was backing her vehicle out of a private drive in Montgomery County when she accidentally ran over her two year old son Slane Holsman. The boy was transported to a Columbia Hospital and then flown to St. Louis for treatment of serious injuries.

Moberly Walmart Theft
3 Moberly residents now under arrest after the allegedly stole baby formula from a local Walmart. 25 year old Florentina Lordache, 35 year old Elena Nistor and 35 year old Florin Dumitru were arrested Saturday afternoon and are being charged with felony stealing. The three are all Romanian citizens from the State of California who had been stealing formula from area Walmarts all throughout the state. Reportedly the trio was stealing nearly $1,000 in formula from the Walmart and had nearly 80 cans of formula in a car in the parking lot. They were taken to the Randolph County Jail on a $20,000 cash only bond.
 
2 Injured in Columbia Collision
 
2 Mid-Missouri residents were hospitalized after they got into a two vehicle accident Saturday in Columbia. The highway patrol says that a 16 year old was making a turn onto Boulevard when another vehicle struck them. Two people had to be extricated from the vehicles, one suffering minor injuries, the other moderate. Both victims were wearing their seatbelts in the incident.
Fulton Middle School Gym Controversy

Parents of Fulton middle schoolers met over the weekend to discuss the controversial physical education activity that took place last week. Parents were outraged at some of the questions asked in the exercise. Those questions ranged from are you a boy or girl to what's your sexuality?  and have you been raped or molested. A student said that many of their fellow students even began to cry during the exercise. The parents are outraged but Fulton Schools says that the activity is part of the state curriculum.

Media Director for Tom Schweich found dead
According to reports that were released late Sunday night, the Media Director for the late Tom Schweich, Spence Jackson, was found dead in his apartment in Jefferson City. Jackson took heat in the days following Schweichs death after he called for the resignation of Missouri Republican leader John Hancock, who had been accused of starting an anti-Semitic whisper campaign against the former State Auditor. Police are saying that Jackson died from a self inflicted gunshot wound. He was 44.
