Missouri Veteran’s Commission Releases Full Report Of Investigation On Response To COVID-19

A full version of an investigation done by the Missouri Veterans Commission on its response to COVID-19 is now being released.

The report says the commission failed to recognize the changing pandemic and did not plan or respond to it well.

The review looked at the Mexico Veterans home and St. James Veterans home.

The Mexico home had 2 deaths and 37 cases among residents and staff.

According to the report staff did not screen veterans on their symptoms, however were aware of which ones related to COVID-19.

The report says the Mexico home was able to stop any outbreaks because of its policies.

The St. James Home had 9 deaths and 35 cases among residents and staff.

The report says the St. James home was not following social distancing consistently as well as not cleaning and disinfection times were not followed.
