The Mexico High School Boys Tennis Team picked up a 6-3 win over Capital City yesterday (Monday) in a home meet.

The St. Louis Cardinals offense came to life last night (Monday) against the Washington Nationals on the road in a 12-5 win.

Paul Dejong unloaded a pair of blasts including a grand slam in the fifth inning as part of a five-homer game for the Redbirds.

With the victory St. Louis evened their record at 8-8.

The Kansas City Royals lost 4-1 to the Tampa Bay Rays.

Kansas City’s starting pitcher Danny Duffy reached a milestone in the 4th inning recording career strikeout number one thousand.

Duffy surpassed Tom Gordon and is sixth on the all time strikeout list for Kansas City.
