The Mexico Bulldogs Baseball Team picked up a 5-0 win over the Moberly Spartans last night (Tuesday) in the Fulton Tournament and sophomore Josh Forbis pitched a no-hitter.

Forbis went 7 innings recorded 8 strikeouts and allowed just 2 walks.

Jesse Fennewald continued his hot performance at the plate going a perfect 3 for 3 with 2 RBI.

Ty Sims was 2 for 3 and Ty Prince went 1-1 drawing 2 walks and scoring 2 runs.

The Bulldogs will play the Hallsville Indians tomorrow (Thursday) at Fulton with a 6:30 first pitch.

The Mexico Bulldogs Girls Soccer Team lost 8-0 to a tough Southern Boone team on the road yesterday (Tuesday).

Mexico goalie Tessa Haefling had 9 saves.

Head Coach Haley Schafer says Katie Gooch did a nice job in the midfield winning 50/50 balls and then got the ball to the outside channel.

Lizzie Joiner and Maddi Maxwell worked together as a unit to win balls in the air.

Next up the Lady Bulldogs Soccer Team will host the Fulton Hornets on Monday, May 10th at 5pm.

The St. Louis Cardinals and New Your Mets will play a double header today (Wednesday) after having their game rained out last night (Tuesday).

It will mark the Cardinals’ first doubleheader of the season, with each game set for 7 innings apiece.

Game on of the doubleheader starts at 4:15 this afternoon.

The St. Louis Cardinals have placed relief pitcher Jordan Hicks on the injured list yesterday (Tuesday) due to a right elbow flare-up.

The club does not believe surgery is currently on the table, and some type of therapeutic injection is more likely along with prolonged rest.

The Kansas City Royals lost 7-3 to the Cleveland Indians at the K last night (Tuesday).

Kansas City has now lost 3 straight and the first 2 of their seven-game home stand.
