Boone County Homicide Suspect Located Dead In South Dakota

A man accused of killing four people including a Fulton Elementary School teacher and her 11 year old daughter has been found dead in South Dakota.

ABC News is reporting the Union County Sheriff’s Office is saying, 45 year old J.T. McLean was found in the area of Dakota Dunes late last night (Wednesday) in a vehicle parked at a motel.

Deputies are reporting OnStar helped investigators find McLean after he stole the vehicle from one of the victims.

A drone was used to fly over the vehicle to make contact with McLean, according to the sheriff’s office.

Deputies said he was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. McLean is accused of killing 43 year old Allison Abitz, and her daughter, 11 year old Jose Abitz, at their home south of Columbia on Aug. 22.

He is also wanted in Miller County in two other homicide investigations.
