Mexico Board of Education Approves Next School Calendar and Discussion of a Four Day Week is Underway

Discussion of a four day week is underway in the Mexico School District.

Mexico Board of Education President Todd Yager says if they are doing everything possible for the benefit of Mexico Schools then they at least need to entertain a discussion.

The Mexico School District approved the 2022-2023 School Calendar tonight (Tuesday), however a four day week was not included.

Yager says he doesn’t know the timeline for the 4 day school week, however discussions with teachers in the district is ongoing.

During the 2022-2-23 School Calendar the first day will be August 24th and the last day will be May 26th.

The Mexico School District will be off during the entire week of Thanksgiving.

Graduation at the Mexico High School will moved to Friday and will take place on May 19th, 2023.
