Jefferson City Opens New Early Childhood Center
The Jefferson City School District held a grand opening yesterday for its new Jefferson City Early Childhood Center. The new facility is based at 1840 East McCarty Street, and will replace the current Childhood center in southwest Jefferson City. It effectively doubles the number of students the service can help, going from 200 to over 400.
The JCECC will provide education for pre-kindergarten students to help prepare them for kindergarten.
The service was funded by Jeff City voters’ passage of the Kids FIRST bond issue in April 2023.
