SSM Health Systems will be closing its clinic on Main Street in Paris on October 17th.
The clinic has three full time employees and the last of daily operations stopped last week on Friday, however a doctor will visit on Tuesdays through October 17th.
Paula Delaney Administrator of the Monroe County Health Department says they have a few services that they can offer residents with the closing of the clinic.
Delaney also says the clinic contracts with a family nurse practitioner every six to eight weeks to help woman out with their annual exams and birth control needs.
It is being reported that negotiations are under way with an unidentified medical practice to move to Paris, to potentially come in and lease the building currently occupied by SSM.
