Annual Turkey Hunt for Persons with Disabilities. The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers Mark Twain Lake Project Office, Paris Lions Club, and Outdoor Enthusiast will host the Annual Turkey Hunt for Persons with Disabilities at Mark Twain Lake. The hunt will take place during the 2026 Missouri Spring Turkey season on Saturday, May 2, and Sunday, May 3, 2026, in the Indian Creek Recreation Area. Participation is restricted to permanently disabled (non-ambulatory, semi-ambulatory) individuals having a valid 2026 Missouri spring season turkey tag and a hunter education certification card.
All hunters must comply with the 2026 Missouri Department of Conservation hunting regulations. Applications must be received before Monday, March 30, 2026, to qualify for the hunt. A drawing to select participants will be held on Monday, April 6, 2026, at 8 a.m. at the Mark Twain Lake Project Office.
