Columbia Police are investigating an attempted armed robbery at the Dash Liquor on Paris Road.
Police say a man entered the business around 11:18 last (Sunday) night wearing a mask and carrying a backpack.
Apparently the man displayed a handgun and demanded from the clerk, and then fled the store without obtaining any money or property.
No one was injured during the incident.
The suspect is described as white man around 6’0 to 6’2 around 200 to 210 pounds, last seen wearing a light colored t-shirt and sweat pants.
Anyone with information is asked to call crime stoppers.
