The Prescription Drug Take Back event in Boone County held over the weekend resulted in the largest collection of unwanted or no longer needed medications since the event began in 2010.
Seven different sites spread through out Boone County took in 971.8 pounds on Friday and Saturday.
All medications collected will be turned over to the DEA for proper disposal.
