TWO JEFFERSON CITY OFFICERS BACK TO WORK AFTER FATALLY SHOOTING MAN EARLIER IN THE MONTH

Two Jefferson City Police Officers are returning to work today (Monday) after being found justified for fatally shooting a man earlier this (October) month.

Cole County Prosecutor Mark Richardson found that Sgt. Dan Ervine and Officer Tomas Whitener were required to use deadly force when 40 year old John Loiaza Jr. reportedly charged at the officers with a pipe on October 3rd.

The Jefferson City Attorney Ryan Moehlman also determined the officers complied with department regulations.
