PARIS CITY COUNCIL MAY PROPOSE USE TAX ON APRIL BALLOT

Paris City Council is looking at asking voters to impose a local use tax on the ballot in April next year.

Lisa Hollingsworth Superintendent with the city of Paris says the use tax would be at the same rate as the local sales tax at 2.5 percent.

If the city council approves the measure to go on the April Ballot it would need a simple majority to pass.
