Area law enforcement officers are undergoing intensive training this week to learn how to better successfully manage a crisis involving individuals with mental health, substance abuse and other issues.
The training is taking at the Boone Electric Cooperative Community Room for the Crisis Intervention Team from the Boone County Sheriff’s Department.
On Friday law enforcement will be holding mock scenarios to utilize skills from this weeks training at 1pm at the Boone Electric Cooperative Community Room.
