If a Hannibal man is convicted of an attempted statutory sodomy charge he could be facing life in prison.
The Marion County Prosecuting Attorneys Office announced felony charges against Deforrest “Chase” L. Sims the Fourth yesterday (Thursday) from an incident that allegedly stemmed between November 9th through November 23rd involving an alleged attempted sexual abuse with a girl less than 14 years of age.
The charge carries a sentence anywhere between 5 years and life in prison.
