A New Bloomfield man is dead and two others have serious injuries after a head on collision in Callaway County on Saturday afternoon.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol it happened on Route Y, 360 feet east of County Road 365 when two cars hit head on and one vehicle became fully engulfed in flames.

23 year old Ryan W. Kirk was pronounced dead at the scene.

28 year old Ross L. Arntzen and 7 year old Brett L. Artnzen both of New Bloomfield were taken to the University Hospital in Columbia with serious injuries.
