A three car accident on the Missouri River Bridge in Jefferson City caused it to be down to one lane for about thirty minutes last (Wednesday) night.

The Jefferson City Police Department reports it happened just after 6:30, when a car had mechanical failure and was disabled in the far right lane.

Another vehicle was stopped and a third vehicle was unable to stop and hit the rear end of a car causing a chain reaction crash.

Three Jefferson City residents had minor injuries due to the accident.
