A Linn man has moderate injuries after hitting a vehicle in front of him in Osage County last (Thursday) night.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol it happened on U.S. 50 about 600 feet west of County Road 602.

The patrol reports 48 year old Matthew T. Branson failed to observe a slow moving vehicle in front of him and hit the rear of that vehicle.

Branson was taken to the University Hospital to be treated for his injuries.
