LAWMAKERS RELEASE STATEMENTS REGARDING GOVERNOR GREITEN’S EXTRAMARITAL AFFAIR

Many Lawmakers are releasing statements on Governor Eric Greiten’s allegations of an extramarital affair.

State Senator Jamilah Nasheed of St. Louis took to Twitter asking that Greitens who has called for an end to the “culture of corruption”, walk the walk and resign.

Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft issued a statement today saying “I am deeply concerned by these complex allegations, which must be taken seriously.

I will continue to pray for the Greitens family and ask the people of Missouri to join me in doing the same.”
A joint state from House Speaker Todd Richardson and Speak Pro Tem Elijah Haahr, and Floor Leader Rob Vescovo reads “While the details of the story continue to emerge, the allegations made against the governor last night are deeply concerning.

The governor must be forthright and accountable for his actions.”

Greitens reported he had a sexual relationship with his former hairdresser three years ago.
