A Columbia man is facing weapons charges and felony resisting arrest after taking police on a brief foot pursuit yesterday (Thursday) afternoon.

According to Columbia Police 22 year old Lorenzo Ray Shephard the 2nd, was wanted for a triple shooting that happened October 8th last year (2017) near the parking lot of Ruckus Bar and Grill at 905 Business Loop 70 East.

Officers report observing a vehicle they believed to be associated with Shephard pulling into the parking lot of 3001 South Providence yesterday (Thursday), and Shephard running from the area.

After a brief foot pursuit Shephard was taken into custody.
