Republican Josh Hawley has 1.2 million dollars in cash to spend in his bid for a seat in the U.S Senate.

Numbers released by the campaign yesterday (Wednesday) report he raised almost 1 million dollars between October and December.

Hawley is trailing the incumbent Democrat Claire McCaskill as she raised near 2.9 million dollars during the same time frame.

McCaskill now has more than 9 million in cash on hand for her reelection bid for a third term.
