Superintendent of Mexico Public Schools says area administrators have been discussing school safety quite a bit lately.

Dr. Templeton says he feels like the Mexico School District is safe.

Dr. Templeton says administrators have had tons of conversations outside the threat of school violence about how to meet the mental health needs of students.

Mexico Public Schools have two school resource officers for the elementary, middle, and high school.
