Stephens College will be hosting an active shooting training event next week on Wednesday, February 28th.

The college will have first responders on hand to receive extra training in the event a shooting were to take place.

College officials are warning residents there will be a lot of police activity in the area and there will be a temporary total closure of East Walnut Street between College Avenue and Ripley Street.

Ripley Street will also be closed between East Walnut and East Broadway during the exercise.

It takes place from 6pm until 9pm.
