MIDDLETOWN MAN ARRESTED FOR ASSAULTING OFFICER

A man is behind bars after attempting to hit an officer with his vehicle in Fulton.

The Fulton Police Department says they were called just before 5:00 on Saturday afternoon to the 400 block of Canterbury for a male going through the reporting person’s trash and mail.

When the officer attempted to make contact with him, 48 year old Michael Junge of Middletown got in his vehicle and drove towards the officer at a high rate of speed.

Junge was arrested for 2nd degree felony assault, 2nd degree assault on a law enforcement officer and felony resisting.

He was taken to the Callaway County Jail.
