A structure in Jefferson City causes about fifteen thousand dollars in damage and two of the residents have been displaced.

The Jefferson City Fire Department responded to the fire in the 500 block of Mesa Avenue on Saturday afternoon just before 1:30.

Fire officials say the 2 residents escaped without injuries, and the cause was determined to be electrical in nature.
