A Chariton County man was arrested on child pornography charges after an investigation by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The patrol reports 19 year old Steven Tyler Greer of Prairie Hill was taken into custody for possession of child pornography and furnishing pornography to a minor.

Greer was contacted at his home on Academy Road in Prairie Hill. Investigators seized electronic equipment as evidence, and Greer was transported to the Chariton County Jail.

The Division of Drug and Crime Control encourages Internet users to promptly report if anyone attempts to engage in unwanted, inappropriate or sexualized communications with children.
