TRAFFIC STOP LEADS TO DISCOVERY OF DRUGS AND GUNS

The Boone County Sheriff’s Department arrested a man after a traffic stop led to the discovery of weapons an drugs last night. [Friday]

Deputies report around 9:45 they conducted a traffic stop on Business Loop 70 near Old Highway 63 for an equipment violation.

A search was conducted and yielded several grams of Methamphetamine, heroin, crack cocaine, powder cocaine and marijuana, in addition to numerous prescription pills.

A loaded handgun was also found in the car.

The passenger, 27 year old Shannon Glasgow of Columbia was arrested at the scene and transported to the Boone County Jail on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, delivery of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of a firearm and unlawful use of a weapon.
