A Mexico, Missouri man is facing charges after taking officers on a brief foot pursuit on Saturday night.

According to Mexico Public Safety they responded to the area of Garfield Park to reports of a person in a green car waving a gun.

Officers say the driver 27 year old Ty’Rek Williams was located in the 900 block of Tyronn Lue Boulevard and ran, but was taken into custody 2 blocks away.

No gun was located and there were no injuries.

Williams was taken to the Audrain County Jail on an outstanding warrant and resisting arrest.
