An Ashland man is being charged and accused of binding and repeatedly cutting a woman over a two day period in March.
According to a report from the Columbia Daily Tribune 36 year old Joshua Welch was jailed on unrelated drug and forgery charges when a domestic assault warrant was filed on Monday.
According to court records Ashland police say a woman told she was cut about thirty times last month while her wrists were bound.
The woman eventually was able to get help from a neighbor who called police.
Welch is accused of cutting a grid pattern and the letter J into the woman’s legs they were reportedly in a relationship.
