Grand Jury Indicts Former Jefferson City Legal Assistant on Two Felony Counts Child Enticement

A federal grand jury has indicted a former Jefferson City legislative assistant on two felony counts in connection to a child enticement investigation.

24 year old Carter Ballman is accused of seeking a rendezvous and nude pictures from a Boone County investigator who was posing as a 14 year old girl online.

Ballmann worked in the Missouri Capitol for Representative Mark Matthiesen a Republican from Maryland Heights, before his arrest last month, Matthiesen fired Ballmann immediately when he found out about the investigation.

The grand jury made the indictment on Wednesday.
