Statue Of Harry Truman Could Be Sent To Washington

The Missouri Senate has voted to send a statue of Harry Truman to stand in the National Statuary Hall Collection in Washington D.C.States gets to choose 2 people to represent them, and currently Missouri has Thomas Hart Benton, a former slave owner, and Francis Preston Blair Jr., described as an outspoken racist.

Lawmakers have decided a Republican should be represented in the hall.
