A Columbia Police Officer is recovering from minor injuries and was taken to the hospital after a suspect rear ended their patrol car last (Friday) night.

According to reports from ABC 17 News it happened on Vandiver Drive and Rangeline last (Friday) night around 11.

Officers say the suspect hit the patrol car, and then put the vehicle in reverse rammed into a fence.

The suspect was not arrested, and an investigation is continuing.
