A local titleholder is the winner of two preliminary awards from the Miss Missouri Scholarship Pageant at last (Thursday) nights competition.
Miss Phelps County Simone Esters of Columbia won the preliminary talent award and the overall talent award.
Miss Branson Abilene Lortz took both the overall and rookie winner awards for evening gown and on-stage question in the Missouri Missouri Outstanding Teen portion of the contest last (Thursday) night.
The Outstanding Teen portion of the competition will conclude tonight (Friday) at the Missouri Military Academy in Mexico with the winner receiving a five thousand dollar scholarship, and the chance to compete for the title of Miss America’s Outstanding Teen in Orlando in July.
