Suspected Murderer Killed In Shootout With Officers

A man wanted in relation to the May third homicide of 43 year old Robert Eugene Jennings on Greeley Drive in Columbia was killed in a shootout with police in Overland Park, Kansas today. [Friday]

According to the Columbia Police Department, Overland Park officers responded to several calls involving shots fired. Upon arrival, Charles Tyrone Webb began shooting at officers who then fired back. Webb was hit and taken to a hospital in critical condition where he was later pronounced dead.

The officers involved were not injured.
