Governor Parson Opening Up Resources To Farmers During Drought

Missouri Governor Mike Parson is making resources available to family farms and state parks due to the worsening drought conditions.

Parson announced at a press conference yesterday (Monday) that farmers will have the chance to take part in a hay lottery starting today (Tuesday) at no charge.

The lottery will cover almost nine hundred acres of Missouri State Park Lands and will run through Saturday, August 25th with the results of the lottery announced on Monday, August 27th.

Area farmers will also have up to five thousands gallons of water available to them daily for livestock needs.

Eighty six counties in Missouri are currently considered to be in drought alert.
