Wrongful Death Lawsuit Filed Against Hallsville School District

A wrongful death lawsuit is now filed against the Hallsville School District.

13 year old Rylie Wagner’s mother filed the suit against the school claiming her daughter took her own life because of bullying that took place within the Hallsville R-IV Schools.

The suit alleges the school did nothing to stop Wagner from being bullied and targeted for her gender and her sexual orientation after parents of students relayed concerns about bullying to the district.

Damages are being sought from the school district, the middle school assistant principal, the middle school principal and the superintendent of the district.
