McCaskill and Hawley Say They Support Higher Minimum Wage in Missouri
Both candidates in Missouri running for a seat in the United States Senate in November say they support a higher minimum wage for the state.
Incumbent Democrat Senator Claire McCaskill said yesterday (Thursday) that she is 100 percent in favor of a November ballot measure that would gradually raise the state’s minimum wage from $7.85 to $12 an hour.
Her opponent Missouri Attorney General Josh Hawley said he is undecided on the November ballot issue but that a higher minimum wage is probably a good idea.
Both candidates made campaign stops in St. Louis yesterday (Thursday).
