High Speed Chase Through Boone County

A high speed chase through Boone County reaches speeds of 100 and 110 miles per hour this (Monday) morning and leads to an arrest.

It started around 12:30 this (Monday) morning when officers attempted to stop a vehicle near the intersection of Highway 124 and Highway 22.

According to officers the driver, Matthew Riggs, sped away, and a chase began.

Boone County Deputies and Centralia Police were involved and spike strips were eventually deployed.

The chase came to a stop near Rangeline Street and Brown School Road in Columbia.

Riggs arrested for driving while intoxicated and driving with a suspended license.
