State Auditors Office Expected To Release Report on Callaway Collectors Office Soon

An audit of the Callaway County Auditors office is set to be released soon.

State Auditor Nicole Galloway’s office began the process of an audit on March 26th, after Callaway County Collector Pam Oestreich resigned.

The resignation came on March 12th when Central Bank Officials met with the Callaway County Prosecuting Attorney to talk about suspicious activity of a checking account for the county managed by the collector.

According to a spokesperson from Galloway’s office final public results of the audit may be expected by the fall.
